The company is looking to recruit a highly motivated person to fill the role of Front Office Systems Developer. They will be responsible for providing IT solutions using technologies such as Microsoft VBA, Access, ASP and SQL Server. They will work within the 4 strong EUC (End User Computing) team who provide systems and support for the Fixed Income Front Office functions within M&G Investments.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering and Supporting bespoke systems to the Fixed Income Front Office.

Issue/problem management including defining actions for other areas in Information Systems and Technical Services teams.

Finding creative and innovative solutions to technical problems

Skills & Knowledge

Essential Must have strong analysis/investigation skills and be able to find creative sustainable solutions to system issues and user problems.

Experienced in issue/problem management - on both technical and user/process basis.

Ability to work reliably without close supervision and used to working in a structured development environment with clearly defined procedures and controls.

Good interpersonal skills are key, the candidate must be able to work well with other members of the team. Communicate clearly and concisely and deal diplomatically with users.

Experience of developing complex desktop applications using tools such as Excel / Access VBA macros, ASP, .Net and SQL Server. Must have strong numeric skills.

Skills & Knowledge Desirable

Experience of relational database systems (Oracle RDBMS 9i, SQL Server). Experience of developing .Net systems using C# Good knowledge of Fund Management preferably gained in a Fixed Income environment
