Leading Insurance organisation is recruiting for a Senior Developer to join their specialist SQL Server OLTP development team. My client is committed to providing high quality, business focused solutions built on top of the .NET Framework and SQL Server, hence they are recruiting for a talented and experienced team player to be apart of their up & coming technical developments.

The role is varied and works closely with the business team to understand the challenges faced and recommend appropriate solutions. Responsibilities will include:

-Requirements gathering

-Architecture

– applying specialist SQL Server knowledge to assist in defining best practises– delivering high quality data access solutions, patterns and producing robust clean performance-orientated code– Server Analysis (must be able to demonstrate experience in the generation of cubes).

-Design & Coding

Successful applicants will have excellent working knowledge of data warehousing & SSIS to extend an existing MI store to fulfil additional reporting and analysis requirements. Technical capabilities across the following areas are essential:

-T-SQL, SQL Server 2005 and query optimisation

-Knowledge of relational theory, solid Re-factoring & Test Driven Development

-Solid C#, .NET framework, OOP,

-BI
