JPMorgan Chase in Chicago, Illinois, is seeking an Accounting Associate
within the Corporate Sector Accounting Group.
This role/individual will conduct moderate to complex accounting projects and independently analyze, report, and explain financial data.
The incumbent will also provide direction and independent decision-making for moderately complex accounting and reporting issues under limited direction, and will develop financial statements and schedules, provide supporting explanations, and exercise control over general ledger activity. This individual will be expected to maintain integrity of financial data, controls, and assist in accounting process improvement activities and provide financial and accounting analysis related to Corporate and Business initiatives or requests.
They will also perform real estate related accounting projects and analysis as well as detailed accounting issue research, recommendation and guidance on transactions.

Qualifications
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in accounting required. CPA and Big
4 experience preferred 3-5 years of accounting experience working in a high volume, fast-paced environment, public preferred Ability to work under tight deadlines. A high level of experience with month-end closing procedures. Strong business acumen and strong interpersonal skills working with all levels of management. High level of analytical project work required Superior communication skills both written and verbal. Technology Requirements: Experience with automated financial systems (SAP), database management, worksheet-modeling tools (Excel), and Hyperion experience preferred. Real estate experience a plus.
