Client Order Specialists perform a pivotal role in conducting Thomson Reuters' business by having primary responsibility for the raising of sales orders, preparation of Customer contracts, progression of orders through fulfillment and billing.
Sited with the sales teams and supporting a defined list of Thomson Reuters' Customers, the Client Order Specialists work in teams of 3-7, using around six different order processing and billing systems. They are provided with more than 60 defined policies and procedures to operate and apply and process orders for over 1,800 price list items. These change frequently so strong analytical skills and a highly adaptable approach are required.
Client Order Specialists have primary hands-on responsibility for ensuring that our sales orders, Customer contracts and billing are timely, accurate and comply with Thomson Reuters' Revenue Recognition control policies. Compliance with these policies is externally audited for regulatory reporting. On average, each Client Order Specialist is responsible for processing around 300 orders, 150 contracts and 900 invoices per year and providing overall support to a Customer base of around $8 Million per year.
