Job Purpose:

Support the Cash Management Sales process by:
  • Writing high quality cash management and commercial cards proposals
  • Working closely with the Cash and Commercial Cards Sales teams to deliver innovative solutions
  • Supporting the proposal teams knowledge management processes to raise efficiency of proposals production
  • Job Background/context:

    The EMEA Proposals Team is from a functional perspective part of the Marketing organisation & provides support to Client Sales Management by efficiently & professionally producing proposals across the Global Transactions Services product set & EMEA geographic span
    EMEA proposals team has 2 units:

  • Cash, Cards and Trade
  • Securities & Fund Services

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand customer needs and product capabilities & partner sales to develop appropriate, cash management and commercial cards solutions
  • Work with the proposal writers/country/product heads to create proposal templates and robust processes to gather and maintain regional specific information
  • Draft with Sales customised proposals & responses to customer Q&A documents for GTS meeting turnaround times as required
  • Define & develop the proposal teams knowledge database content of product and corporate, both to increase efficiency of proposal writing as well as provide promotional support for coverage model & cross-fertilisation across the region
  • Develop and maintain associated control processes to ensure that product/solution information integrity is maintained, building partnership with Regional Business Heads, Product Management, Implementation, Operations and Technology etc
  • Identify & implement efficiency processes continually, to compress cycle times while maintaining or increasing degree of proposal customisation possible
  • Keep abreast of customer needs and market trends through being in the market, partnership with Sales and Product Management internally & also in selective customer calls
  • Support Team Head in establishing best practice

  • Offer prospective development candidates progression either into team leader roles within proposals or feeder into sales / product /coverage roles

  • Skills

    Knowledge/Experience:
  • Proven banking / financial services experience required for peer credibility, and also experience in GTS front office a major advantage
  • Experience of the corporate banking sales process & cash management and/or commercial cards products would also be an advantage
  • Skills:
  • Good writing skills
  • Exposure to sales process within corporate banking
  • Good MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Experience of Pragmatech/Incite software would be beneficial
  • Ability to learn other relevant software packages
  • Qualifications:
  • University degree preferred

  • Understanding of & ability to network / leverage organisational structure of GTS and other partners
  • Ability to command trust, credibility with coverage peers (level = typically VP to director).
  • Proactive, self-starter, strong verbal and written communication skills, organization and planning skills
  • Ability to leverage the Citi network, including developing & maintaining distance relationships with colleagues / clients
