Reporting to: Head of EMEA Marketing
Marketing Strategy architects the marketing plan and aligns the strategic goals of the business. This team acts as the lead source for market knowledge, analyzing opportunities and generating insight that significantly contributes to the business of growing the bottom line. It is consultative in helping investment teams position products for success in the institutional and intermediary markets. Marketing Strategy closely partners with the investment community to understand and capitalize on market opportunities by developing products and solutions that generate new business as well as promote client retention and portfolio penetration.
Responsibilities
- Ultimately responsible for contribution, quality, productivity, reputation and team cohesion
- Drive and oversee the creation of industry-leading proprietary research and insights leveraging internal and external information sources as well as extensive market knowledge of prospecting, customer trends, competitors in the market, regulatory changes and industry consolidations that impact product positioning, distribution approach, new product development and the acquisition process
- Develop and implement process to proactively engage sales, investment and product development teams in creating new and profitable investment solutions for clients
- Drive the continual evaluation of structure and distribution approach of existing investment strategies in terms of highly successful product positioning
- Ensure team capability and capacity are in place, adjusting to meet business needs. Monitor and address day-to-day issues while serving as an advocate for the team
- Effectively communicate Marketing and Firm agendas, specifically outlining individual roles and responsibilities
- Facilitate career and skills development while building a professional environment focused on leadership, customer service, and accountability. Ensure staff have the required training to perform their function and cross-train as necessarily to mitigate all concentration risks
- Significantly contribute to overall Marketing, Sales and Product Development strategy, including focus planning and evaluation of the level and extent of Marketing’s impact
- Drive the strategic direction of Marketing Strategy, proactively looking for opportunities to empower clients to make better investment decisions, and continuously improving the quality and effectiveness of the message
- Provide full and complete business reporting. Monitor and manage departmental database subscriptions

- Outstanding analytical and cognitive abilities. Able to form deep insight into market trends from broad datascapes and information resources, coupled with excellent written and verbal skills to deliver meaningful business strategy and direction. Top presentation skills
- Exceptional and in-depth understanding of investment process and the investment management market in each channel and segment
- Excellent business savvy with ability to successfully implement change within a high pressure, time-sensitive environment, being open to the needs of the operation which may impact job requirements and/or working schedule
- Significant experience in relevant field demonstrating excellence at managing reports
- In-depth understanding of asset classes and investment management process
- Seasoned strategic marketer who exhibits a passion for marketing
