RESPONSIBILIITES

This role offers the chance to work in close partnership with the Execution and Clearing (E&C) business to build and rollout the technology platform. The candidate will be part of a global team involved in the development of key local and global strategic projects and will be responsible for working closely with the business to analyze, define requirements, code, test and implement various components within E&C, using core technologies such as Java, SQL and scripting.

DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS

The candidate will have the opportunity to

• Develop leadership and project management skills - with the potential to manage project teams in the future
• Understand E&C business and risk management
• Detailed understanding of execution and middle office flows across equity and listed derivatives
• Understanding of high performance database applications based around Sybase and UDB

SKILL / EXPERIENCE

MANDATORY

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem solving skills which can be applied in a Java, SQL, and UNIX scripting based environment.

Projects frequently span New York, London and Hong Kong; therefore there is significant exposure to our business users in all locations. Candidates will therefore need to have excellent interpersonal, communications skills, multi-tasking skills with attention to details, the individual needs to be highly motivated and driven to succeed.

PREFERRED

Experience of financial markets in a user/client facing environment in particular will be an advantage but not essential.
